For students with two or three years of secondary school Latin or one year of college Latin. Selections from Latin poetry and prose of the late Republic and early Empire. Reading and translation from texts; grammar review and composition. Prerequisite: LATN 001 PO and LATN 002 PO or LATN 022 PO, or permission of instructor, or Latin placement test results; test results valid for one year. Can be repeated twice, once for credit. Previously offered as CLAS100 PO, CLAS110 PO, and CLAS112 PO.
